Glorious morning this morning, after a fantastic message Sunday at Church. As I consider my path in this walk with God, I am blessed. God opened up the opportunity to go to a church where the Word of God was alive, we were quickened not only by the message, but by the love of the people. Isaiah 51:7-8 is powerful this morning. Yes, I am in the Old Testament this morning reflecting on the condition of Israel in times of trouble, including here captivities, and listen to the Prophet Isaiah. …

Paul was a remarkable man, full of conviction, and yet he understood the unbeliever better than many seeing he had been an enemy of Jesus Christ. Paul is waiting to 2 disciples, Silas and Timotheus while in Athens, and he was stirred in his spirit, when he saw the idolatry in the city. Have you looked around you yet, and seen the idolatry in your town or city today? Discerning the times and seasons is imperative for believers, for even believers get caught up in the trends of the t …

Ephesians 5:14-18 “Awake thou that sleeps and arise from the dead, and God shall give thee light. See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.” Wisdom is justified of her children, and in the reality of this life we live, men and women may get saved, but are not compelled …

Living in the doctrine of grace, with the effects of salvation working in your life, the possibilities are endless in what God is able to do in you and through you. When God called Noah, Abraham, and some of the early fathers of the faith, there was a direct confrontation with God, and in most cases it would not have been the men that we would have picked. When you add to that, the fact that Christ called men unto Himself, and yet they were often not understanding what God was doing, even though …

I read early this morning in Isaiah 36 and 37, Sennacherib, king of Assyria, had come against Judah, and took them, then sent messages and one of his challenges came right out of the pit of hell. In Isaiah 36:7 we hear this great challenge, which was and is often echoed throughout history to God’s people. “But if thou say unto me, We trust in the Lord our God: is it not he whose altars Hezekiah hath taken away, and said to Judah and to Jerusalem, Ye shall worship before this alter? Now t …

What a glorious thing it is this morning to awaken to the call of God in your life, if you know him, and if you know him not, today could be the day of your salvation. In Romans 13, Paul is chastising the believers who are resisting the higher powers, and in verse 2, tells them that; “they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.” You should read the whole chapter! And wake up as you get to verse 11: for the admonit …

Yesterday is past, today is a new day, and your life is hid in Christ in God. Listen this morning and rejoice! “If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sits on the right hand of God.” Then he expounds more specifically. “Set your affections on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid in Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life …

In 1st Peter 1:2 we have a glorious promise: “Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace be multiplied.” Redemption is the work of God, and so many want to make it the work of man. Yes, we are saved by grace, and not of works, but when we read this portion of Scripture, we rejoice. Listen this morning: “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord …

I find in my years of serving Christ, that many do not take the time to learn of him, but get caught up in being served, and ministered to, and often allow the substitute of a Pastor to be sufficient to know truth and be a shining light. But actually, God gives men of God, Pastor’s, to preach the truth, that the conversion would be inward, then outward, that Christians would magnify Christ by the life they live, holding fast to the scripture, and being led by the Holy Spirit as the men of the Ne …
