Where Can I Serve?
Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of Heritage Christian Church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. Heritage Christian Church members are involved in a variety of ministries to reach out to our community. Come find a place where you belong and be part of something GREAT.

LEGACY
Being an anointed ministry, Legacy meets monthly and is for all ages to come together and get to know each other in a smaller/personal setting. Matthew 18:20 “For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” We have a Bible study, share a meal and fellowship. We encourage everyone to attend! This is a pot-luck event.

HERITAGE OUTDOORS
Heritage Outdoors ministry mission is to bring people to Christ through their love of nature and the outdoors. We believe that God can be glorified in all things. In the future they hope to have outings, picnics, kayaking, camping, hiking, hunting, fishing, biking etc. We are excited about the future of this ministry and we hope you and your family will participate in this fun, full of laughter and fellowship ministry. Genesis 27:3 “Now then, get your equipment—your quiver and bow—and go out to the open country to hunt some wild game for me”.

GREETERS
The Greeter ministry is designed to be the “friendly” face that all see when entering Heritage Christian Church. We are an enthusiastic group of people that welcomes you into our church, shows you around, guide you to a seat, gathers contact information and introduces you to others. We want everyone to feel a part of our HCC family. Romans 12:13 “Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality”.

USHERS
The ushers are a group of dedicated people who are committed to serving the Lord within our church on many fronts. It is this team’s goal that everyone in attendance, young and old, is comfortable and safe. From showing new guests our facility, to parking cars on special occasions, taking up the offerings and facilitate communion. 1Timothy 6:18-19 “Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share”. In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life”.

HANDS AND FEET
As our name implies, the Hands and Feet outreach ministry strives to be just that, the Hands and Feet of Jesus. From helping fill food back packs for impoverished children (Backpack program – Linda Gay) to transporting people who can’t make it to church on their own, hospital visits, visiting shut-ins, Apostles’ Closet (clothing give away) and much more. We believe in the “Great Commission” of Matthew 28:19 “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit”. We also carry the message of Pastor Shaw’s vision and passion that all men, women and children know Jesus as their Lord and Savior to the community.

RELAY FOR LIFE
The Relay for Life team is a dynamic group of people who help raise awareness and funds for Cancer and celebrate God’s power over it! Each year we create a team and have fundraisers to help reach our goal. We create a camp site at Easy Walker Park and sell goodies and treats, have face painting and other games for children, fellowship with church members, pray and lift up the afflicted, celebrate the survivor and participate in the Relay for Life ceremony and activities which includes personal stories and a candlelight vigil. This outreach is held in June or July every year. Acts 20:24 “However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace”.

PRAISE AND WORSHIP
The praise and worship ministry is a talented and dedicated team that leads the praise and worship of God in music and song that welcomes the Holy Spirit with the purpose of preparing the atmosphere for the congregation. At HCC we praise God with musical instruments and voices! Psalms 98:4-6 “Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth, burst into jubilant song with music; 5 make music to the Lord with the harp, with the harp and the sound of singing, 6 with trumpets and the blast of the ram’s horn – shout for joy before the Lord, the King”. At HCC it isn’t unusual to be encouraged, uplifted and amazed by the power of our mighty God. Praise and Worship helps us all to grow deeper in a personal relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ.

HERITAGE RECOVERY
Heritage Recovery is a Christian based support ministry that offers prayer, guidance and resource information to assist families and those who suffer from any type of destructive behavior or habit. Heritage Recovery and Heritage Christian Church offers space to hold an AA meeting on Mondays at 8pm for Montgomery Co. and surrounding areas. In the near future, Heritage Recovery will be hosting “Celebrate Recovery” that focus on biblically-based steps in the context of Christian values. This vital ministry offers hope to all in our community that is affected by many destructive forces. John 8:36 “Whom the Son sets free is free indeed”.

HOSPITALITY
The Hospitality ministry offers assistance to all church members when a need arises. We want our ministry to leave a lasting impression and show the love of Jesus to the entire congregation and to those who visit. Hospitality’s love of Christ manifest it’s self by arranging for meals due to illness or after hospital stays, death of a loved one, arrange for flowers, baby showers for new mothers and assists in church gatherings. Leviticus 19:34 “The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the Lord your God”.

MEDIA
Mark 16:15 “go into all the world”. With today’s technology we can do this more than ever. Heritage Media Ministry can broadcast services live, share audio and video, and keep you up to date with our HCC website, HCC app, YouTube and other social media. In this fast paced world you’ll want to stay connected. Our main goal is to get the word of God to you. If you need to hear a message that will moved you or you’re not able to make it to a service, Heritage Media Ministry will bring it to you.

J.O.Y. (JUST OLDER YOUTH)
“Just Older Youth” is a ministry for the older person with a young heart that comes together periodically for meals and fellowship, to share the lessons that the word of God has taught you though out the years and to just have fun! 1 Peter 5:1-2 – To the Elders and the Flock “To the elders among you, I appeal as a fellow elder and a witness of Christ’s sufferings who also will share in the glory to be revealed: 2 Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, watching over them—not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not pursuing dishonest gain, but eager to serve”.

SECURITY
We are blessed to have a retired Kentucky State Police Trooper, an active KSP Trooper and a Mt. Sterling Police Officer among our congregation that serves and protects. God Bless our law enforcement team! Stay safe out there and thank you for your service!
