Ephesians 1:3-4 “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love.” What an amazing truth to grasp this morning: God calls out unto you, you respond often as a choice we make, but it was God and is God that works in you. Paul writes unto the believers at Rome and says: “Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth. Who is he that condemns? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long, we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Neh, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us.”

The work that God starts He finishes. He is still working in you to will and do of His good pleasure. Hide this little gem in your hearts and rejoice. “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, Thy Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what men shall do unto me.” When we hide these truths in our heart, we run the race set before us, not looking back, for we know He leads us in paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Just a thought this morning!
