Our Mission Statement is simple, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:19-20)

Where can God use your talents?
Why do we Give?
Paying tithing is a sacred privilege. When we pay tithing we show gratitude for all that God has given us and return to Him a portion of what we have received. Tithing is used to build temples and meetinghouses, translate and publish the scriptures, do missionary and family history work, and in other ways build God’s kingdom on earth.
Here at Heritage Christian Church, there are many ways to Give:
1) Online giving: This safe and flexible option is the easiest way to give at HCC! This method is a safe and secure way to give. Here you can easily manage your giving amount and specify where the funds should be applied.
2) Smartphone: This is a safe and secure way to give directly from the HCC app.
3) Mail: Mail your check to Heritage Christian Church, 402 Commerce Circle Mt. Sterling, KY 40353.
4) Sunday Service: Give in person, we would love to see you at HCC.

Angela Hughes: First let us give the Lord thanks for the abundance of all things. Please pray that the Lord would deliver his people from evil men; That the Lord would preserve his people from violent men, who plan evil things in their heart and stir up wars continually. Pray against the spirit of anti Christ, false witness, terrorism hatred and violence. Please pray and intercede without ceasing that God's will be done in the lives of the world's leaders and for our leaders to seek God and listen to Him. Pray that they would be surrounded by godly counsel and, that our leadership would personally know God and the salvation found through faith in Jesus Christ alone. That we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. God can turn the hearts of kings. Earnestly pray that the people of America and its leaders will humble themselves and seek the Lords face and turn from their wicked ways. Pray that the Lord would hear from heaven and forgive our countries sins and heal our land. God Bless America Pray that the Lord would grant peace in America, that we may lie down and no one will make us afraid. That the Lord would remove wild beasts from the land, and that the sword will not pass through our country and that President Trump along with our leaders be filled with power, with the Spirit of the Lord, and with justice and might to declare the sins of Gods people. Please pray for revival and that the Lord would pour out his spirit on his servants, throughout the world both men and women. Pray for the peace of Israel. Gods will be done on earth as it is in heaven. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Be An Example

Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity. (NLT) ( 1 Timothy 4:12 )

Don’t be fooled into thinking that only mature, godly people can spread God’s message. God works through people of all ages. The best way to spread his message is to live it so that others can learn by example. Pick one thing that honors God, such as being truthful, ethical at work, caring for those less fortunate, or loving others more than yourself. Take action on the one that’s missing in your life and others will see God’s work through you.

Glorious Miracles

Who can list the glorious miracles of the Lord? Who can ever praise him enough? (NLT) ( Psalm 106:2 )

Is there any one of us who can detail each of the miracles God has performed for us? No! God provides a miracle with every breath we take. Though we may deserve death for our sins, God allows us to live another day. We can never give Him enough praise for all He has done, but that should not stop us from giving Him the glory He deserves.

Wonderful Grace

Well then, should we keep on sinning so that God can show us more and more of his wonderful grace? Of course not! (NLT) ( Romans 6:1-2 )

When God lovingly forgives us of our sins it is not an opportunity to continue sinning. To justify sin with the knowledge that God will always forgive indicates a lack of understanding of the impact of sin and its consequences. Earnestly try to improve and learn as you grow your faith in Jesus.

The Little Things

“Whoever is faithful with little is also faithful with much, and the one who is dishonest with little is also dishonest with much.  Luke 16:10
What will you do with what you have? Will you cling to it, afraid to let anyone even see it? Or will you use it? If you have a hammer but always keep it in the toolbox, is it even still a hammer? If you own a masterpiece painting that all the world knows, do you hang it in your closet to “keep it safe,” or do you loan it out to a museum so all can look on in awe? When the Church holds onto God’s love instead of giving it away, are we being the Church?

Being Thank-full Goes Beyond Counting Your Blessings

One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice. He threw himself at Jesus’ feet and thanked him — and he was a Samaritan.” Luke 17:15-16 (NIV)
As I spend time with family I see how blessed and thankful I am, but you know what? Being “thankful” does not automatically mean we are being thank-full. Being thankful for the good things is really just being glad we are benefiting from those good things and appre …

Remember What’s Important

Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.” (James 4:14)

If there’s one thing that this weekend, 15 years ago has taught us, it’s that tomorrow is not promised.

If only we could apply that line of thinking to other areas of our life. The truth from the 9/11 tragedy is some of us now realize that the nice cars, big homes, many of the dreams that we have been chasing are just not all t …

Single Moment

Can all your worries add a single moment to your life? (NLT) ( Matthew 6:27 )

You know the feeling you get when you start to worry? Anxiety rises up inside and the situation consumes your thoughts. We try to deal with it ourselves, but this behavior is not glorifying to God. Worry and stress reveal your doubt in God’s will. As the creator of the universe, He has a greater plan at work. The next time you find tension rising up inside of you, stop yourself. Say a prayer that you are turning it over to God and putting your faith in Him. Stop worrying.
