Our Mission Statement is simple, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:19-20)

Where can God use your talents?
Why do we Give?
Paying tithing is a sacred privilege. When we pay tithing we show gratitude for all that God has given us and return to Him a portion of what we have received. Tithing is used to build temples and meetinghouses, translate and publish the scriptures, do missionary and family history work, and in other ways build God’s kingdom on earth.
Here at Heritage Christian Church, there are many ways to Give:
1) Online giving: This safe and flexible option is the easiest way to give at HCC! This method is a safe and secure way to give. Here you can easily manage your giving amount and specify where the funds should be applied.
2) Smartphone: This is a safe and secure way to give directly from the HCC app.
3) Mail: Mail your check to Heritage Christian Church, 402 Commerce Circle Mt. Sterling, KY 40353.

Angela Hughes: First let us give the Lord thanks for the abundance of all things. Please pray that the Lord would deliver his people from evil men; That the Lord would preserve his people from violent men, who plan evil things in their heart and stir up wars continually. Pray against the spirit of anti Christ, false witness, terrorism hatred and violence. Please pray and intercede without ceasing that God's will be done in the lives of the world's leaders and for our leaders to seek God and listen to Him. Pray that they would be surrounded by godly counsel and, that our leadership would personally know God and the salvation found through faith in Jesus Christ alone. That we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. God can turn the hearts of kings. Earnestly pray that the people of America and its leaders will humble themselves and seek the Lords face and turn from their wicked ways. Pray that the Lord would hear from heaven and forgive our countries sins and heal our land. God Bless America Pray that the Lord would grant peace in America, that we may lie down and no one will make us afraid. That the Lord would remove wild beasts from the land, and that the sword will not pass through our country and that President Trump along with our leaders be filled with power, with the Spirit of the Lord, and with justice and might to declare the sins of Gods people. Please pray for revival and that the Lord would pour out his spirit on his servants, throughout the world both men and women. Pray for the peace of Israel. Gods will be done on earth as it is in heaven. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Simply Said: August 29th, 2018

The tribulations that people go through are very real, and yes, at times they are the result of bad decisions. We see the divide infecting even our nation today, in the rancor demonstrated in politics, even in news casting and a host of other things. There is plenty of indignant self righteousness going around, and even the best of the best can get caught up in that without realizing the seriousness of measuring people by self evaluation, or basing the character of an individual by using self as …

Romans 3:19-20 speaks this morning. “Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them that are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall be no flesh justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.” I sit here rejoicing this morning, that what the law could not do, Jesus Christ did. as we read in Romans 7:24-8:8 “O wretched man that I am! Who shall deliver m …

Simply Said: (In this devotional I quote a few verses twice. It is deliberate!)

Jacob had a dream at Bethel and the dream came while he was sleeping with stones as a pillow, in Genesis 28:11. While sleeping he sees a ladder going up into heaven and  beholds angels of God going up and down between heaven and earth and behold the Lord stood above it. Now listen to this promise: “I am the Lord God o …

“A fool utters his whole mind, but a wise man keeps it in till afterwards.” Proverbs 29:14 Words slip out of the mouth like a river, and yet the fool is lacking in wisdom, and Proverbs 17:7 says it well. “Excellent speech becomes not a fool: much less do lying lips a prince.” So often the words of a fool are without any wisdom, and the harshness of the words produces scars on a soul, but Paul said it very well this morning in Colossians 4:6 “Let your speech be alway with grace, se …

Ephesians 1:3-4 “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love.” What an amazing truth to grasp this morning: God calls out unto you, you respond often as a choice we make, but it was God and is God that works in you. Paul writes unto the believ …

Simply Said: August 14th, 2018

I sat here this morning, writing a poem, being reminded of the goodness of God toward mankind, and the promise of faith, the cornerstone of our faith. 1st Corinthians 3:11 says it well, “For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ” We can rehearse the law all we want, but we must understand that no man is justified by the law. Do we not understand as it says in Galatians 2:16, “Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by f …

The glory of God is discovered each time we approach the throne of God. “Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? And where isthe place of my rest? For all those thingshath mine own hand made, and all those thingshave been, saith the LORD: but to this manwill I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembles at my word.” Isaiah 66:1 We so much need to humble ourselves before the Lord God Almig …

Are you rejoicing this morning having just awoken to a glorious day to be alive? Are your affections set upon Him who called you and saved you? Rejoice this morning if you name is written down in glory! Has the Holy Spirit quickened you to feed your life the Spirit filled Word Of God, that ye might be a partaker of that whi …

Simply Said August 8th, 2018

As I write this morning, I am thankful that God meets me each morning early most days, and I have an opportunity to fellowship with Him alone, before I face the day ahead. I am learning continually, that the admonition of the Lord is powerful in moments. A disciple, yes a disciple of Christ sits under the authority of the Savior who gives us those things we need in the Scriptures. We need to continue learning and understanding the things that belong to us that come by faith in Christ. The writer …

So often we have expectations that seem right in our own eyes, but God has other plans for us. David had detected that Saul had come to the wilderness of Ziph, with Abner and three thousand men. David sent out spies in 1st Samuel 26:4 and with Abner discovered the place where Saul lay. In verse 6 David said the Ahimelech, and Abishai, “Who will go down with me to Saul in the camp? Abishai …
